Anterior Segment Photography
This specialized photography documents the anatomy of the front of the eye and can be used to monitor a range of eye diseases, as well as assist in patient education.

BScan
This test is an ultrasound used for monitoring various eye diseases. It allows a view into the eye that cannot be seen with normal equipment.

Densitometry
This test measures the thickness of the protective pigmented layer in your macula. This layer protects your macula from damage caused by environmental factors, such as [blue light]. Based on your results we can make personalized recommendations.

iTrace
This machine uses light waves to give us an idea of your focusing abilities and an estimated prescription, which is a good jumping off point for the doctor. It also gives us a map of your cornea. This corneal topography can be used for fitting [specialty contact lenses].

OCT – Optic Nerve
This non-invasive imaging takes cross-section pictures and measurements of the layers in your optic nerve that cannot be seen with traditional methods. This allows for early detection and monitoring of any abnormalities that may affect the nerve, such as glaucoma.

OCT – Retina
This non-invasive imaging takes cross-section pictures and measurements of your retinal layers that cannot be seen with traditional methods. This allows for early detection and treatment of any abnormalities.

Optomap
As an essential part of your comprehensive eye exam, we will capture a digital image of your retina. These panoramic pictures assist Dr. Walters in early detection and monitoring of the health of your eyes yearly.

pERG
This test measures the function of your retinal cells by evaluating their ability to conduct electrical signals through the retina to the optic nerve.

VEP
This test measures health of the optic nerve by measuring the strength and speed of electrical signals reaching your cortex, the posterior part of your brain.

Visual Field
This will test your central and peripheral vision assessing the potential presence of blind spots, allowing for the diagnosis and treatment of certain diseases.
